“Chinese Tradition” is a unique puppet performance showcasing three classical forms of Chinese puppetry: string marionettes, glove puppets, and rod puppets.
Program includes:
Rod puppet play “Kung Fu Pig” – the famous hero from the epic Journey to the West in a bright and comic performance.
Classical glove puppet show “The City of Da Ming” – filled with dance and martial arts.
Demonstration of puppetry secrets.
Interactive game “Finger Gymnastics” for the whole audience.
Marionette performance “String Party” with acrobatics, dance, and juggling.
Interactive with children – playing with a lion marionette right on stage.
Rod puppet show “Face Changing” – the magical art of instant mask change from traditional opera.
Folk dances and elements of Chinese culture.
At the end of the performance, spectators will be invited to join a photo session with the artists and puppets.
